When i was in my collage. i was living away from my family , on rented house in a city.
There was construction going on in the building, i was living in. There was working lady in her 70. Working in rain and winter temperature would be around 12to14 degrees. When many people were sitting in home enjoying tea with some hot “Pakore”, or sleeping in cozy bed.
I was looking here since morning picking up the bucket full of bricks, and taking it to the roof of the building. She was shivering because of cold and wet.
I asked “why are you working in this rain ?”
she replied with simplicity “I am doing it for my grandchild.”
i asked “ don’t you have your son do it for you and for your grandchild as this is his responsibility?”
She again replied in simple word “ I can’t see them sleeping hungry!”
I was speechless. After this answer.
However I got many of my questions answer ! and whenever I found myself week I used to think about this lady and I get recharge again for fighting back to the situation.
